"Labor of Love" Project Launched in time for Labor Day
Size does matter when it comes to small business success!
USA -- Sep 1, 2005 --

Dream Weaver Enterprises, a business and
fundraising consultancy company, is launching a new
program for entrepreneurs on Monday, September 5,
just in time for Labor Day.

The program, that has been a "Labor of Love" will
give small business owners a BIG hand by taking
them step-by-step through the process of finding --
and getting -- the funding they need to start or
expand their business.

Called MAPS (Microenterprise Answers to your
Personal Success),
the Website provides links to
legitimate sources of funding -- usually provided
through nonprofit organizations or state government
agencies, who receive grant funds to administer the
programs.

The Truth Is Out There...

"There's been a lot of hype lately about grants for
small business owners, and we get calls and emails
from people who have spent sometimes hundreds of
dollars on a program that "guaranteed" they could
get a grant of at least $25,000 -- but turned out to
be not much more than a list of names and
addresses." said Cheryl Antier, the President and CEO
of Dream Weaver Enterprises.  "There are a lot of
scams that have been built around the reality of
what programs and resources are actually available,
and a lot of people who have been taken advantage
of.  The truth is out there -- and there ARE grants
available -- you just have to know where to look and
what to ask for.  And that's why we put MAPS
together."

Microenterprise has been an effective vehicle for
driving low and very-low income people out of
poverty since 1976.  It has made a huge difference
in the lives of women and children in developing
countries around the world.

But what many people don't know is that
microenterprise is also available in the United States -
- and that it can help many new business owners.

Microenterprise in the U.S.

There are over 350 legitimate programs in the U.S.
and since 1976, over 3.7 million entrepreneurs have
taken advantage of them to successfully start their
own businesses.  Because most of the programs are
not very well advertised, and may not even list
microenterprise in the name, entrepreneurs often get
confused or discouraged when looking for help.

Available resources include everything from getting
technical assistance or training, to free or
reduced rent for retail or manufacturing businesses,
to receiving cash grants or low-interest loans.

Each program has its own guidelines and restrictions,
but entrepreneurs can find out all the everything
they need to know -- including whether or not they'll
qualify for a spcific program -- BEFORE they apply,
for free.  There are also other free resources on the
Website, including articles, worksheets, free business
assessements, and a monthly newsletter that
spotlights innovative programs and lists available
grants and their deadlines.
